WE NO LONGER ACCEPT COURT APPOINTED VOLUNTEERISM. Please note that all volunteers must be at least 14 years of age to participate.

Overview

Do you love to organize? Volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul Gonzales Thrift Store play a vital role in helping process donated items that support our mission. By assisting with sorting and organizing donations, volunteers help ensure items are prepared for sale, allowing St. Vincent de Paul to provide critical services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Schedule

Days: Monday- Saturday 

Time: 9:30a-11:30a

Location: St. Vincent de Paul Gonzales Thrift Store 318 Louisiana 30 W, Gonzales LA 70737

Volunteer Needs

Volunteers per shift/day: 6

Ages:
Minors (age 14+) may volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Minor Volunteer Waiver:
Must be printed, completed, signed by a parent or guardian, and brought on the day of service.

Group Guidelines:
A group of six minors may be accompanied by one adult who is certified to work around vulnerable populations.

Tasks

• Sort through donated items
• Organize items for processing and sale
• Assist staff in preparing items for the sales floor

Check-In & Instructions

Upon arrival, please check in with a staff member who will provide instructions for the volunteer shift.

Dress & Safety Guidelines

• Long pants (capris acceptable for women)
• Shirt with sleeves
• Closed-toed shoes

Minors must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering.

Please do not volunteer if you are feeling unwell. The safety of volunteers, staff, and customers is our top priority.

Cancellations

If you are unable to volunteer on your scheduled day, please cancel through Galaxy Digital so another volunteer may take the spot.
