Overview: Looking for a meaningful way to stay active and make a difference in your community? Join our team of volunteers in supporting the kitchen during one of its busiest meal prep and delivery times as a Delivery Day Hero! Volunteers will assist with sorting donations and supplies, stocking items, and helping organize and lift deliveries. Your support plays a direct role in helping meals and essential items reach neighbors in need.

Location: Dining Room, 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place, Baton Rouge, LA
Volunteer Needs
Volunteers per shift/day: 2
Ages: Minors (age 14+) may volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Minor Volunteer Waiver:
Must be printed, completed, and signed by a parent or guardian and brought on the day of service. You may print the waiver from Galaxy Digital and give it to the staff member in charge upon arrival.
Tasks
- Unload food deliveries
- Help to sort donated food items
- Put food donations away in our coolers and pantry
- Lift up to 25 lbs
Check-In & Instructions
Upon arrival, please sign in using the volunteer kiosk in the dining room.
A staff member will greet you and provide instructions for the shift.
Dress & Safety Guidelines
• Volunteers must be able to lift 25 lbs., bend over, and put items on shelves
• Shirt with sleeves
• Closed-toed shoes
Please do not volunteer if you are feeling unwell. The safety of volunteers, staff, and neighbors is our top priority.
Cancellations
If you are unable to volunteer on your scheduled day, please cancel through Galaxy Digital so another volunteer may take the spot.
