The Sweet Dreams and Sweet Dreams Expansion Shelters, located at 1623 Convention Street in Baton Rouge, provide shelter for women, children, and families in need of a safe place while working toward independence. Neighbors at the Table are the lifeblood of the shelters. We are deeply grateful to the individuals and groups who dedicate their valuable time and resources to purchase or prepare delicious meals for shelter participants. Participants are heartened to know that strangers are willing to go to great lengths to support them in such a generous and compassionate way. Join our team of volunteers in supporting the kitchen during one of its busiest meal prep and delivery times as a Delivery Day Hero! Volunteers will assist with sorting donations and supplies, stocking items, and helping organize and lift deliveries. Your support plays a direct role in helping meals and essential items reach neighbors in need.ScheduleDays: Friday Time: 8a-10a Location: Dining Room, 220 St. Vincent de Paul Place, Baton Rouge, LA Volunteers per shift/day: 2 Ages: Minors (age 14+) may volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Minor Volunteer Waiver: Upon arrival, please sign in using the volunteer kiosk in the dining room. A staff member will greet you and provide instructions for the shift.
